View on FCC Broadband MapUpgraded to Gigabit Extra for the unlimited data. Getting 1100+ Mbps download consistently. The unlimited data alone is worth the extra cost since I was paying $30/month for the unlimited add-on anyway. Great for our 4K streaming household.
The internet itself is fine when it works, but dealing with Xfinity's customer service is unbearable. I spent 3 hours on hold trying to fix a billing issue. They kept transferring me to different departments. Would switch if I had better options.
I work from home full-time and Xfinity has been solid for video calls and file transfers. Very few outages in the 18 months I've had it. Just wish the upload speeds were better - 5 Mbps is not great for uploading large files.
Been with Xfinity for 2 years now. The speeds are consistently what they advertise - usually getting 450+ Mbps on my Fast plan. However, the price jumped from $65 to $83 after my promo ended. The data cap is annoying too, I've hit it twice.
The base price looks good but once you add the gateway rental and the unlimited data add-on (because the cap is too low for my family), it's over $120/month. Speeds are reliable though, usually hitting 900+ Mbps on the gigabit plan.
