View on FCC Broadband MapEven if you don't use Google Fiber, you benefit from their presence. When they came to Charlotte, Spectrum and AT&T both improved their offerings. I'm on Google Fiber 1 Gig and it's been perfect. No caps, no contract, $70/month. Simple.
Upgraded to the 2 Gig plan when it launched. With the mesh system included, every room in our house gets 500+ Mbps wirelessly. My husband and I both work from home with no issues. The value for $100/month is unbeatable.
The service is everything they promise - fast, reliable, no BS fees. But getting installed took almost 2 months because of permitting issues. They had to run fiber to our street first. Patience paid off though, it's been perfect since.
Had Google Fiber since it launched in KC. Never had a reason to call customer support because it just works. Consistent gigabit speeds, no caps, no contract tricks. Every ISP should operate this way. It's simply the best.
